Our Dental Technology in Munster, IN

Dr. Miller utilizes advanced dental technology to provide exceptionally thorough, high-quality care to her patients.

Iris Intraoral Camera In Womans Mouth

Iris Intraoral Camera

The Iris is a camera designed to be used inside of the mouth to take very clear pictures that you may be unable to see with your naked eye. The images Dr. Miller will obtain with the Iris helps her to asses, diagnose and treatment plan. She is able to identify and show our patient’s plaque formation, cavities/decay, gum disease, chipped or fractures teeth, broken down fillings, and other oral conditions.

The 3Shape TRIOS Intraoral Scanner

The TRIOS scanner is another imaging tool we utilize here at our office. This cutting-edge technology gives us the ability to essentially take teeth and place them on a monitor without the mess and use of oral putty. The TRIOS is a handheld scanner that glides across teeth giving us an accurate, high-definition color scan by recoding a 3-demential digital photograph. The resulting image allows us to create a virtual mold/impression of the mouth.

Dental Surgery Anesthesia

The Wand Anesthesia

The WAND is another tool Dr. Miller uses to make sure our patients experience is pleasant and comfortable. The WAND is a computer-regulated anesthetic administrating device. The WAND controls the flow of the anesthetic which aides in the reduction of inflammation at the delivery site. The device looks less like a needle/syringe and more like a pen, which can help to reduce patient anxiety and make the anesthesia experience much more pleasant overall.

Digital X-Ray

Our digital X-ray equipment uses up to 70% less radiation than the traditional X-ray. Since these require a significantly lower level of radiation than traditional x-rays, it means less exposure and a much safer experience for both the patient and the dental professionals administering the digital x-rays.

This device is designed to provide topical heating for the purpose of elevating tissue temperature for temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain/stiffness, increase local blood circulation, and help relax muscles. The Perfectio X device has a large waterproof glass probe for smooth application delivering the optimal LED and Infrared light exposure. This is just one more tool Dr. Miller can use to help speed up healing and also allow for a more comfortable procedure.
